Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 2026

shoppr helps you save products from ecommerce pages and view them in a personal shopping dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Google requires Chrome extensions that handle user data to publish clear privacy disclosures, and Google API use must match what is disclosed in the app's privacy policy. developer.chrome.com

When you use shoppr, we may collect:

  • Account information: your name, email address, and basic profile details shared when you sign in with Google.
  • Saved product information: product title, image URL, price, currency, product URL, store name, and related product metadata.
  • Extension information: authentication tokens, token expiration time, your signed-in account, and temporary context such as the page URL and title when needed to complete sign-in or save a product.
  • Usage and technical information: basic logs needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

shoppr is designed for shopping curation. We do not collect payment card numbers, checkout credentials, or passwords for ecommerce sites.

Chrome Extension Data

The shoppr Chrome extension only uses page information to support the feature you request: saving a product to your shoppr account.

When you open or use the extension on a product page, shoppr may read product-related details from the active tab, such as title, price, image, store, and URL. The extension sends saved product data to shoppr only when you choose to save the item.

shoppr does not sell your browsing history. shoppr does not use extension data for advertising. shoppr does not collect page contents unrelated to saving products.

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. developer.chrome.com

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate shoppr, such as authentication, database, hosting, security, and support providers. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to shoppr.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Product data is stored per account, and users should only be able to access their own saved products.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit access, use secure authentication, and keep only information needed to provide the service.

Your Choices

You can:

choose not to save a product
delete saved products from your dashboard where available
sign out of shoppr
disconnect or remove the Chrome extension from your browser
contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information

Data Retention

We keep account and saved product information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide shoppr. We may retain limited information longer when needed for security, legal compliance, backups, or dispute resolution.

Children's Privacy

shoppr is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Users

shoppr is operated from the United States. If you use shoppr from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
